Banned Species, Powers and Bonds
Below is the list of species, powers and bonds which are not allowed in Time of Chaos plus explanations as to why. Some species are simply a no go because they are not wanted in game, others are due to issues in game with them before. Any bios submitted containing any of these will be rejected automatically. This list is subject to change and the Council can at any time reject species, powers and bonds not on this list. In this case however, a full explanation will be given.
Another thing to note is that half-breeds are not allowed in the game. So no witches turned lycanthrope or vampire for example. So in game, once a character has one disease/ability, it is played that they are immune to being infected by another.

The Bonds:

Panwere:
Panweres by their nature allow for a character to have several different lycanthrope species within them and are currently on the banned list due to potential of godmodding. Under no circumstances will a panwere be approved.

Necromancer:
Banned due to potential of godmodding and power playing. Necromancers are very rare in the series and also have the potential to be very powerful and gain additional powers which are not permitted in game.

Gargoyles:
Gargoyles are destructive and vicious creatures in the series who hunt and kill indiscriminately. Due to this and power play potential, they are banned.

Master Vampires over 1000 or Non-master Vampires over 1500:
After these ages, vampires have the potential to get very powerful if a non master and are likely to be very powerful if master. To limit the potential of godmodding, these ages are in force. With the exception of the Vampire Council, no vampire will be permitted in game over these ages. Anyone submitting bios for banned vampires will be asked to lower the vamp’s age and if necessary remove some powers.

Dragons
This is for the same reason as gargoyles.

Werehorses
Werehorses do not appear in the books and as there is no need for the species in this game, they will not be allowed.

Weredeer
Like werehorses, this species isn’t in the book and there is no need for them in this game.

Seers
Seers fall under the godmodding potential so at this time are not allowed in game.

Fae (Seelie and Unseelie)
It has been decided that Fae are banned from this game due to the fact LKH only mentions the fae in Bloody Bones and we wish to concentrate more on the other preternatural and human communities. There are also plenty of Merry Gentry role playing games about for people who wish to play Fae. So no Fae will be accepted in this game.

Any non predatory lycanthrope
This obviously excludes swans which are on the allowed list. This is as swans are the only non predatory species explored in the book and other than the allowed species, no other species is required in game at this present time. This does not look like it will change anytime soon either.

Any Half breeds
As discussed at the top of the page, once infected with one disease or the character has a certain ability (is an animator or witch), they are treated as immune for the purpose of the game.
The half breeds ban includes:
Lycanthropes-turned-vampires
Lycanthrope witches
Witch-turned vampire or witch-turned-lycanthrope
Animator-turned vampire or Animator-turned-lycanthrope

Avian Species
Other than swan and hawk, no other bird species are allowed in game.

Any Aquatic Shifters
This includes seals, sharks, dolphins, beavers etc. They are not in the books so are not in game. They are also not needed.

At this current time Mermaids and Sirens are banned from the game. However this is subject to change.

Voodoo Priests
Due to godmodding potential, currently Voodoo priests are not allowed in game.

Any character connected to St Louis
No character in game is allowed to have any connections to St Louis. They can’t have lived there, been born there, visited there etc as non book characters are not allowed and any association may allow this to happen. So please do not include references in the bios as they will need to be changed and will not be approved.

Powers
Wolves who can call the munin
This power will never be allowed in game due to the godmodding and play power potential. Any reference made to the munin in any bio will be removed.

Vampires who walk around in the daylight
Vampires who can do this are very old and this is already covered in the banned species list. So this power is banned.

Triumverates
Due to the power boost this would give characters and the potential to create overly powerful characters through it, this power is banned.
