Appearance: Char has boyish features, which she plays up by wearing masculine clothes and binding her breasts flat. Her hair is unevenly cut in an almost careless fashion. She is short and slender, and delicate-looking on occasion. She won’t wear feminine clothes, and has a little difficulty walking.

Personality: Char is vibrant and loud, forward and unrestrained. She throws herself into everything with energy. She likes to keep active, though can be indecisive and aggressive at times. She’s easy-going about dating and the social scene, but uptight about her career. She hates to be dependant, and is picky about who and when she accepts help.

History: Char had a normal childhood, being the eldest of a set of twins. She and her brother were always at odds with one another through their younger years, and their parents split up when they were fourteen. The father took her brother and she was kept by her mother. After a calm first week, Char began to act up until her mother sent her to her father.

They were kept together after that, and their arguments tapered off as the tension from their parents calmed.

With a more settled home-life, despite the moving between parents every three months, their school grades improved from below average to above it. Their best subject was music – Char on guitar and her brother preferring to sing. They formed a band towards the end of their high school, though it didn’t survive graduation.

They applied to the same college, both taking advertising. They had different styles and were independent of one another generally, but they spent their free time with each other and going to each other for support.

A few months ago, Char and Val, he brother, were in a motorcycle accident. Val has scarring on his right arm and hip, but Char, who had been driving and had borne the brunt of the collision, had to have her right leg amputated mid thigh.

She moved out of her family’s house because she was tired of their good intentioned pestering. He brother refused to go with her due to a vicious argument a day before.

Her injuries topped her attending the first month of college, so has decided to take a break from school and return to it in the next academic year. She is struggling at the moment to get enough rent for her small, two roomed apartment.

Strengths: She is bold and doesn’t let her short stature stop her when she goes after something. She is quick minded and bright, and finds learning new things easy, if given a little leeway. She gives as good as she gets, and the only person who can out-squabble her frequently is her brother.

Weaknesses: She is only human, and can get on the wrong side of people with a few badly timed insults. She doesn’t know when to stop, as usually she and her brother do that for each other instead of themselves. Also, she is self-conscious about her stump and finds walking long distances painful.

Quirks: She frequently uses masculine personal pronouns when referring to girls, and uses the feminine for her twin. As they are the same height and have dyed their hair the same shade, people find it difficult to distinguish between them.
