Eyes: Blue
Personality: Sinjen is very intense but he is also calm and calculating. Mostly aloof, idle chitchat tends to piss him off. A co-worker once described him as being “self-contained.” Sinjen feels people only complicate his life – the live ones anyway. He is good at what he does and wants to be left alone to do his job. Sinjen executes (read that “kills”) easily and without remorse. He is much more comfortable dealing with the dead than he is with the living. He believes that he doesn’t really need people so he socializes infrequently. Sinjen appears detached and unfriendly – his is abrupt when speaking to people and is a man of few words. History: Sinjen was born in London to an English father and American mother. His mother was a psychic “ghost whisperer” and his father couldn’t accept her “gift” so they divorced when Sinjen was 10. Sinjen and his mother returned to America where they finally settled in Denver. In high school, three of Sinjen’s friends were killed in a car wreck. During the visitation at the funeral home, a girlfriend of one of the boys went crazy and threatened to kill herself. Sinjen’s emotions overloaded from the sorrow, stress and embarrassed awkwardness he felt at the girl’s outburst. Moments later, the corpse sat up, looked around in confusion, and demanded to know what had happened. Luckily, there was a professional animator on the premises and the corpse was laid back to rest. Needless to say, Sinjen went from popular to freak in a heartbeat. Recognizing the boy’s in-born talent, the animator took Sinjen under her wing and showed him how to harness and use his gift. At the age of 24, Sinjen was attacked by a freshly turned vampire and he managed to stake the creature. After healing from the attack, he trained to become a licensed executioner as vampires had been “legal” for approximately a year. Two years later, Sinjen was offered a partnership in Second Life Ltd., an animation firm in New Orleans. He accepted and shortly thereafter also became the official executioner for New Orleans. As such, Sinjen also carries authorization from the federal government as he was grandfathered in as a federal marshal under legislation passed in the late 1990’s. Sinjen lives alone in an antebellum house in the Garden District – an expensive address but easily within his means. Sinjen commands top dollar for his services and he is considered the leading animator in the Southeast. Strengths: Sinjen trains religiously in martial arts, kick-boxing and at the firing range. He carries a Browning Hi-Power with extra clips – some with regular loads, some with silver loads, and some with Glaser Safety style slugs. He always has at least one knife and if he is on an officially sanctioned hunt or execution, he may carry as many as four. Though it physically drains him, Sinjen needs to use only minimal blood and then salt and steel to raise and bind the dead. He carries an execution kit that contains stakes, a shotgun with silver shot and slugs, and several silver crosses. Weaknesses: Sinjen is human so he cuts and bleeds and hurts like any other human. When he is hurt, he has to heal and it takes time. There are periods when he has a “crisis” in faith and his religious icons will not protect him as fully as is possible. Quirks: Sinjen is an avid baseball fan and his favorite team is the St. Louis Cardinals. He drinks Maker's Mark. Other: He drives a Nissan Frontier 4-wheel drive, crew cab pickup.
