Eyes: Brown Appearance: At
5'11" and 190 pounds Caine hardly seems an imposing figure. His wiry frame
is covered in compact muscle, rather than bulk, and Caine knows how to use
what he does have. Caine's brown hair is dark enough that in the right
lighting it appears black. His eyes are rich mahogany in color. With his high
cheek bones and thin nose, Caine almost appears feminine. However, his strong
jaw and chin save him from that fate, instead lending him a handsome
appearance. Caine's Oriental and Italian heritage have given his skin a warm
honeyed tone akin to a moderate tan. Caine moves with an innate predatory
grace borne of years of training. Personality: Caine
can be pleasant, smiling and laughing with always a dark glint in his eye.
But that’s something anyone other than the clan rarely
sees now. He is now a more secretive and closed individual, knowing that one
reason people fear and respect him so much is his seeming coldness and the
fact he appears not to be someone to mess with. That is true however. He
still respects power but now given his own, he isn’t as
drawn to it anymore; he however does respect the authority it can give. His
temper is still non-existent as is his fear. All his actions are calculated
and he says all what he needs to and what he means. Only those really close
to Caine can really understand the man and even then, what is written on his
face isn’t necessarily what he is thinking. His ability
to blend into any situation is a huge advantage for his job in security. He
also cares deeply about his clan though rarely shows any affection towards
them in a way other people would perceive. History:
Caine was born to a normal family in New Orleans. From the start Caine was an
unusual child, withdrawn and almost frighteningly emotionless. His parents
took him to a number of psychologists, who diagnosed him with everything from
disassociative disorder to schitzophrenia to manic depression, none of which
were accepted by his parents. Their refusal was two-fold- they didn't want to
admit their child might be defective, and they couldn't believe a child of
Caine's intelligence was damaged. And Caine was intelligent, scoring in the
ninety-nine and one hundreth percentile on almost every standardized test
given to him. Caine advanced quickly through school, and graduated high
school at the young age of fifteen. Caine had never been close to his
parents, but it was when he graduated that the argument that would split them
arose. His parents demanded that he attend college, and Caine had no desire
or intention of doing so. The argument came to an abrupt close when his
parents died in a house fire a month after Caine's sixteenth birthday. The arson experts determined that the fire was the result of faulty
electrical wiring, and Caine received the profits of both his parents' life
insurance policies and the home owner's insurance policy. Caine was nearly
rich, but that mattered little to him. He was taken into foster care for four
months while his parents estate was dispersed and his case handled. After four months Caine was legally emancipated and he bought
himself a small but lavish apartment in downtown New Orleans. He began
experiencing life, although he treated his interactions a bit like science
experiments, with no particular attachment to any experience. During these
times Caine further honed his chameleon like adaptive qualities, learning and
emulating what he saw. It was a year after his emancipation that Caine came
to be in a bar in a rather seedy portion of town. A fight broke out, and
Caine remained in the bar even as the participants shifted and began to tear
into each other. His lack of fear proved his undoing, as that night he was
gored by one of the shifters. Two weeks later he felt a pull within him and
was drawn to Vicious Longings and the vampire that called- Jacob. Caine joined the clan, learning the what it meant to be a
hyena and an alpha. During this time he was introduced to S&M and
bondage, pastimes oddly suited the near-emotionless man. He rose quickly in
the clan ranks, and when he tired of the female oba he killed her. This
occured when Caine was only twenty four, and Caine has held the dubious honor
of Oba ever since. He's also been head of security for Vicious Longings for the
last six years, a task he's well suited for with his strategic and cunning
mind. Caine has been out of town for the last three weeks, and Rysh has been
acting in his stead. Now that he is back, Caine has taken command again. When Caine returned, he resumed command. Rhys left shortly
afterwards. The takeover by Saelan lead not only to the death of Jacob and
his comrades, it also freed the hyenas of his control. With their new freedom
and the disappearance of Lu’s Clan, most of the Iron
Tooth fled, leaving Caine with only a few hyenas, one including Lucas who he
had saved during the fight. Over the next three years though, the clan gained a few
members. Caine got a new Ogun, Mia, and two new betas, Justine and Nate who
were initiated into the clan in the next full moon. When Katrina struck, the
Hyena Hideout was badly damaged, leaving the hyenas to leave in temporary
accommodation. Caine encouraged the hyenas to help with the rebuild and the
clan moved into another flat a few months after the rebuilding had finished. The PR law started to clamp down on the preternatural
community even more and Caine developed an underground group called PAR,
Preternaturals Against Registration. In the infamous 2008 riot, Caine lead
the way, leading a peaceful protest at first then partaking in the violence
when the PRLOs got involved. Also during this time, he personally oversaw the training of
Justine and Nathan, ascending them to alpha status. He also started a casual
relationship with Mia, which suited them both just fine. He also bought an
estate for the hyenas, the Riviera Estate so the clan could finally have the
privacy he wanted for them. The clan now stands at eighty five members strong and recently
Caine has promoted Nate to Ori. They have just moved into the Riviera Estate.
Strengths: Caine is a powerful alpha, and as such
has extreme control over his beast. He has the ability to calm, soothe, or
raise the beasts of other hyenas, although not to force them to shift. He can
share power through sex or blood, and is able to partially shift at will. Additionally,
Caine has trained in two forms of martial arts (kendo and ju jit su) since
elementary school and is well schooled in each. Caine prefers to fight with
words rather than actions, although he doesn't fear the possibility of
violence or pain. Caine is skilled in the use of knives, short swords
(although this is a skill learned in the last four years, and thus not
exceptional by any means), and most handguns. Caine heals very well, although
that is more due to his level of power than actually being exceptional. Caine
is extremely intelligent and calculating, and he lacks any form of fear.
Caine has a keen ear for languages, and has mastered German, Spanish, and
French, all of which he was taught from elementary school on. He's fair with
Italian (a language he picked up at Vicious Longings), although he's a better
listener than he is a speaker. Weaknesses:
Caine's lack of fear is both blessing and a weakness. Caine frequently
endangers his own safety out of mild curiousity, simply for this lack of
fear. Caine has a mild case of disassociative disorder. Caine experiences
debilitating migraine headaches on occassion for no apparent reason. These
headaches leave him near helpless while he's experiencing them. Caine also
experiences all the pitfalls of being a lycanthrope. Caine still has complete
lack of fear and disassociative disorder. His migraines over the years have
gotten worse, now rendering him paralysed and on bad occasions, putting him
in bed for days. Quirks:
Caine enjoys pain with his sex. When he's in the mood, he likes a good
submissive to play with, and sometimes he wants another alpha that refuses to
submit. Caine feels sex should be like fighting, violent, passionate, and
dangerous. Caine dislikes being a bottom, but given the proper persuasion he
can be convinced to do so (although it's not an experience he enjoys). |
