Eyes: Hazel
Personality: A
southern girl by nature, Justine is loud and proud. She's not afraid to put
her opinions out there, and is rarely shy around other people. Although she
can be a little on the annoying side to those sorts of people that like their
peace and quiet, Justine attracts people who like the wilder side of life.
She enjoys everything she does, from the mundane to the monumental. She
appreciates the beauty of the outdoors, and can sit for hours in a forest or
park studying things around her. She loves things like four-wheeling,
horseback riding, and hiking. An advocate for peace, she has been spotted
every now and again at protests around the country. A very wise person, she
gives advice to those that need it (or those people she thinks need it,
whether they want it or not), and will never turn someone away who asks for
her help. History:
Born in Houston, Texas on a horse ranch that her grandparents owned, Justine
was brought up in the traditional country lifestyle- up early in the morning
to tend to the animals, then wash up and into the kitchen for breakfast
before school. Her parents were very firm that she act like a proper lady,
and would correct her at every turn, even from a very young age. They
instilled in her the competitive spirit that pushed her to the top of her
classes in school, even as early as elementary school. When she was five,
Justine was allowed to ride her very first horse, a young quarter horse. She
had an instant knack for it, and even outrode her dad, who was considered one
of the very best horse handlers. Friends came easy to her, and at school she let loose and acted
like a normal child. She would play until she was covered from head to toe in
dirt, push the boys down just as much as they pushed her, and wrestle with
the best of them. But of course, she never, ever would have let either parent
see her doing it. She was always an avid reader, and when she wasn't doing
chores or homework, she had her nose in a book, although her mother didn't
approve. High school was a breeze, although it was made hard because
her father wouldn't allow her to see any boys, even though an offer came at
least once a week. So she dedicated herself to school, and before she knew
it, she was graduating valedictorian of her class, with a full-paid
scholarship to college. She decided to just find any kind of job she could
get at the time and just experience life as an adult for a while. She moved
away from her parents, even though she remained within the same town, and
worked as a waitress for three years. When she was twenty-two, she met a nice young man who stole
her heart. He made her quit her job and work at home, and to outsider's eyes
they looked perfectly happy together. But behind closed doors, she was an
abuse victim. He beat her at least once a week, and she put up with it for
two years, then she simply disappeared. She turned back up in New Orleans, applied for school there to
began the nursing program. She got herself an apartment with the aid of her
parents on the waterfront, and is now looking for work, preferrably as a
waitress, although school takes up a lot of her time. But, not more than a
week after her arrival in the city, she was attacked by a rogue hyena she had
encountered just outside the city on one of her many nature walks. She barely
managed to get herself to a hospital in time, and she counted her blessings
when she did, even though the doctors immediately informed her that she was
now a werehyena. She embraced the fact and thanked the heavens above that she
was still alive. Now, on top of school and looking for work, she is seeking
out the local hyenas, wanting to learn to get control of herself again. Strengths: She
is loyal to her friends, which means they're more likely to back her up in a
fight. She is not an easy person to make cry 'uncle', and she will not give
up without a fight.. literally. Has the potential to become an alpha. Weaknesses:
Being a newly-turned were, she has trouble controlling her beast and her
strength. Her eager willingness to help sometimes gets her into trouble, and
she can be a little on the naive side. Quirks: Other: |
