Eyes: Blue
At 5'7, Mia is perhaps a bit on the thin side, she could
probably stand to gain 10-15 lbs, but she wears it well, not appearing too
skinny, but not having an ounce of fat anywhere on her body. She is very
shapely, with curvy hips, and long legs. In fact, she has often been
described as having the face of an angel, the body of a seductress and the
eyes of the devil. Her clothing style depends on her moods, she has just
about everything imaginable in her closet, including an extensive collection
of 80's rock band t-shirts. In hyena form, Mia tends to take on a darker form than the
normal hyena, a trait fairly common to her familial blood line. Instead of
the more usual cream to light browns, Mia's background fur is almost a smoky
gray, with black spots, and a pure black muzzle. Personality: Mia
is playful, and friendly, a natural flirt. She loves most sports, and is a
wicked soccer player. She much prefers the company of men, as women tend to
be more jealous of her, whether theres a reason to be or not. She is a very
tactile person, loving to touch and feel, and be touched, which has gotten
her into trouble many a time. She can also be a tad too willful and dominant
at times, its just her nature. She is never afraid to speak her mind. Mia
also has a sarcastic wit, that sometimes is a bit sharp. History: Mia
was born 25 summers ago, near Tahlequah Oklahoma. Her Tsalagi (Cherokee) name
is Miakoda Unesdala Ross. Miakoda means Power of the Moon. She comes by her
"disease" as some call it, naturally. She is a blood born Hyena,
both parents, as well as her maternal parents were hyenas. She has an older
brother, who is the current Oba of their families clan back on the
reservation. Mia spent most her time on the reservation until she was 13. At
that time, she was packed off to live with her paternal grandparents to learn
more of the ways outside of the reservation, and their clan. Her brother
Shawano, 4 years her senior, never left the reservation, and to this day,
despises any outside influences, considering them evil. though she missed her
parents, and the life of freedom she led on the reservation, Mia loved the
"outside world." So much so, that she chose to attend college, at
Kansas University. Mia loved experiencing the best of both worlds. She went
home to Oklahoma every chance she got, and spent her time at school, not only
learning , but practicing maintaining control over her beast. So much so,
that she spent 4 years at college, without a soul knowing what she was. She
learned how important that was, When she was just 16, and fell for an older
guy, who learned her secret, and betrayed her, intending to sell her off to
some were hunter. It was then, that she learned two things. Never trust a
man.... and she was more than capable of killing when backed into a corner. After college, Mia spent most of the next 2 years on the
reservation, continuing to strengthen her abilities. Her father died when she
was 23, and her mother couldn't live without him, and soon followed him to
the grave. When Shawano became leader, her tried to force dominance over his
little sister. He was taking his position beyond all that was allowed, trying
to bend her will to his. While Mia had no problem being a part of her clan,
and maintaining the rules as they were, she could not ,and would not give in
to her brother, and his ideas. Eventually, she was given the choice of
submitting to Shawano, challenging him, or being cast out. No matter how much
she had come to hate him, she refused to fight him, so Mia chose to leave,
and has not looked back. She returned to a normal human life, living in
Kansas City with her grandparents, until they died, making her independently
wealthy. She then spent the next year in Arizona learning the ways of the
non-born hyena. One of her father's best friends, who had been a constant in
her childhood, was Oba of the Burning Desert Clan. Still feeling restless, she chose not to make her permanent
home with them. Grayson, her father's friend saw great potential in Mia, and
upon hearing of Caine's ambitions in New Orleans, contacted him, thinking she
would be a great asset to the Iron Tooth Clan. And so, Mia has come to New
Orleans to assist Caine. Strengths:
Though she has the usual were abilities, her biggest strength is her ability
to hide how powerful of a were she actually is. She can play the weakling
quite easily, and draw others into her web, before lashing out. She has
amazing control over her beast, making it hard for even the most practiced
were hunter to even realize she is one, even though her beast is quite
dominant. She also does have the ability to heal others, perhaps more so
because of her Native American blood. She is trained in the martial arts, and
prefers to use her hands, and teeth. She is also very adept with knives, but
has had little experience with guns. While not immune to silver, she does
tend to be able to stand it in small doses, for short periods of time. Weaknesses:
Mia's mouth. Sometimes, she just doesn't know WHEN to shut up, especially if
backed into a corner, or if it is a male. She does not like to back down....
ever, which has obviously put her into trouble more times than not. She has
the usual were weaknesses, but Mia is more susceptable to the effects of
alcohol than your average were, so she tends to stay away from it altogether.
While having the ability to heal others through blood, when injured herself,
her own healing is not as accelerated as most weres. Sometimes, even the
smallest of injuries can dishabilitate, or weaken her for longer than it
should. Of course, her healing ability completely drains her of all energy
for a period of time weakening her immensely. Quirks: She
has a fondness for dark chocolate, and roses. She is also a Pepsi-a-holic.
Though not into S & M per say, pain sometimes acts as an aphrodisiac. SO
much so, that she has silver jewelry that she sometimes wears. Other: |
