Eyes: Icy Blue
Personality: Amaya is a very strong-willed person, and she won't ever let anything stand in the way of getting what she wants. She won't let anyone tell her what to do, because obeying others just goes against her fiery personality. However, when she gives her word to someone, she means it with all her heart and soul.. loyalty is a must where she is concerned. Betrayal is intolerable, and, in her eyes, must be punished harshly. Most of the time she is very withdrawn and introverted, but when the time is right, she knows how to win over an audience. She is a very sensual person, a tease by nature, because she knows she's irresistable. She loves to touch and be touched, just like any other were, and she will very rarely romantically be with any human, simply because she does not feel that they can keep up with her. She is not a vain person, merely aware of what others think of her. However, she will not normally let herself get too intimately involved with someone, because she fears that anyone she cares about will meet the same fate as her parents. History: Abandoned as a newborn infant, she grew up mostly in the clutches of the government. However, when she was about ten years old, her luck changed for the better, and a nice Spanish family took her in. The mother was a kind-hearted, wise woman with a passion for cooking, and the father was a strong, loving, playful man. She was the only child, since her adoptive parents were unable to have their own children, and they simply fell in love with Amaya. The few years of her childhood that remained were spent learning a new language, home tutoring, and spending family time together at home and abroad. They were a very close-knit family, and Amaya was happier than ever she could remember. She made friends within their little suburban neighboorhood, and the other children were as enthralled with her as the adults. Puberty was rather uneventful for her, since her family was so supportive and helpful to her. She demanded, however, that once she was done with middle school, she wanted to go to a public highschool like a normal teenager. Her hot temper and persuasive arguments eventually got her what she wanted, and so in her ninth grade year, she was a student at the local highschool. From day one, boys could be seen in flocks around her, but she turned them all down. Her teachers loved her, since she was eager to learn and a straight-A student. Everything remained perfect for her. She graduated highschool with a fully paid scholarship to Louisiana University, valedictorian of her class. At 18, she went back to college and got her master's degree in only two years. Being fluent by now in both Spanish and English, she was an asset to the law firm that took her on to manage their accounts. Life was wonderful for her, but where happiness abides, misery is drawn. Only two years ago, Amaya was heading out on her routine Sunday visit to have dinner with her parents, and she kept feeling that something was wrong the closer she got. She shrugged the feeling off, but realized that her intuition was right. The minute she opened the door, all she could see was fresh, dripping blood. Her mother's mangled body lay at the feet of a huge leopard, torn open from chest to groin. She tried to turn tail and run, but the big animal was outran her by a mile and caught her. Luckily for her, she had time to scream, and her screams, of course, prompted neighbors to call for help. As the police arrived, the beast fled, leaving a torn and shaken Amaya laying on the sidewalk. She had moderate spinal cord injuries from being thrown around and massively damaging lacerations and bite marks all over her body. Hurting, alone, and mourning, she was miserable. But she was completely whole again come the next full moon, when she transformed into a glorious black leopard. She instantly embraced what she was, and learned everything she could about what she had become. She taught herself how to control her beast in only six short months, and she also learned how to make herself heal faster. Recently, she has decided to try joining the local pard, but something inside her keeps fearing rejection, something that is not like her at all. Perhaps the attack traumatized her more than she realized? Who knows. Strengths: Normal were strength, faster than average healing, higher than normal intelligence. Her stubborness could also be counted as another strength. Weaknesses: Normal were weaknesses. However, her bull-headedness could also be seen as a weakness. Her fear of getting too close to people is another. Quirks: She likes to walk around her apartment in nothing but her panties and dance to techno music. She also sucks on the tips of her fingers when she's nervous. Other:
