Eyes: Emerald green Appearance:
Callie's long, slightly curly golden blonde hair falls to her mid-back in
careless waves. Her eyes, dark green in color, are heavily fringed by black
lashes. Her full pink lips are often curved into a smile, be it seductive or
friendly. Her skin, which she cares for meticulously (something she carries
over from her feline nature; cats care for their coats, she cares for her
skin), is lightly tanned. She likes to showcase her long legs and hourglass
figure in daring clothing, usually leather or silk. Personality:
Callie is straight forward, to the point, and doesn't deal in bullshit. She
is clear and to the point to save herself (and everyone else) time. Being the
Nimir-Ra of a leopard pard, time isn't something Callie has a whole lot of.
Patience isn't either. Callie has never had much patience, but is working
hard on it. She's extremely loyal to those she considers her friends and
family. But just because Callie is loyal, doesn't mean she'll agree to
everything they say, just to prove her friendship. She is opinionated,
stubborn, and generally fun. Just don't get on her bad side. Callie gives new
meaning to the saying ''Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". Betray
her, harm her or someone she considers hers to protect (did I mention she's
possessive?), or do anything else that will set the flames of her anger
burning, and you will be the recipient of an attack more furious than any
other you've ever seen before. She is *very* good at revenge. History:
Callie grew up in and around New Orleans. Her family was rich, and owned a huge
antebellum plantation home located about thirty minutes outside the city, as
well as two townhouses within the city. Callie was actually born in the
plantation home, delivered by a rather panicked cook and her father. After giving birth to Callie, her mother began to bleed
heavily. The ambulance, which had already been en route, arrived too late to
save her. Callie's father, a lawyer, fell into a deep depression, and threw
himself into his work to try to distract himself from his pain. In the
absence of Callie's father, Emily (Callie's nanny), and Jaques, the family
chef, tried their best to raise Callie. Most of her young life was divided between studies and the
world class stables upon the estate. Her mother had been an excellent
horsewoman, and Callie was determined to try to follow in her footsteps. When
she was twelve years old, Callie performed in her first show, and to her
great pleasure, placed in the event. When she tried to find her father in the
crowd, she discovered that he hadn't bothered to come to the event.
Heartbroken, Callie returned to the plantation with Emily. Upon arriving at
the plantation, Callie retreated to her father's study to wait for him,
hoping to catch him when he came in. Sometime during the night she woke up in
his chair to see a giant leopard man standing above her. Callie, infused with
fear, screamed, trying to wake the house. The man reached forward, grabbing
her arms as gently as possible in that form. Sharp, prickling pains
penetrated Callie's cloud of fear, and she looked at the small slices on each
of her arms. What he was saying finally penetrated and sunk in, horrifying
Callie. The man standing before her was her father! He shifted back to
his human form and tried to get Callie to calm down for several minutes, to no
avail. By then Emily (her nanny) had burst in the room, and was trying to
take in the situation. It was Emily who first noticed the cuts on Callie's
arms, and realized their possible implications. Finding out that her father
was a shifter, and might have accidentally turned her into one, all in one
night was simply too much for Callie. She fainted. The next day it was explained to Callie that her father had
been turned shortly after her birth, and within five years had taken over as
the Nimir-Raj of the local pard. Her nanny, Emily, and the cook, Jaques, were
both members of the pard that had been placed in the home to take care of and
protect Callie in her father's stead. In a single night Callie's entire world
had turned upside down. It was only two weeks later, at the next full moon,
that she received the hardest lesson of her young life. Starting with that
moon, Callie began to develop her powers as a lycanthrope, using them, and
attempting to hone them as often as possible. Within a year she became an alpha, and by the time she was
eighteen she had fought her way through the ranks of the pack to head
enforcer. When her father died in a car crash four years later, Callie took
over as Nimir-Ra, and has held the position ever since. Jory Sutherland, a life-long friend and playmate returned to
her life and pard 4 years ago to take his place as Nimir-raj next to Callie. She has been rather
happy and content with life since, settling down and learning patience that
she didn’t have before. She is mated with him and they are a pair to
fear. She can speak French and Italian fluently, but rarely ever
uses either. Strengths:
Callie has all the powers of an alpha lycanthrope, including the ability to
shift certain parts of her body at will, but can also heal through touch and
rip a cat's beast out of it. She is not only a skilled rider, but an
excellent fighter as well (a result of her years spent as the enforcer of the
pard. With her Nimir-raj, it seems that many of her powers have grown
stronger and she has developed more control over them. Not only now can she
rip a beast out of another, she can take the beast from another to keep them
from shifting unwanted, and not making her shift either. Weaknesses:
Jory and her Pard. Normal were weaknesses. At times she is too prideful to
admit she is wrong, and that can be a hindrance. Stubborn, of course. |
