Eyes: Grey
He loves to wear suits and wears them whenever he gets the opportunity. At work and on occasions where he can't really wear suits, he dressed down in jeans and t-shirts, accompanied by an assortment of different jackets and trainers. In lion form, Simon is 4 feet 6in� in height with a mane which progressively gets darker the further it goes down his body. His other distinctive features are orange ears and a white patch around his mouth. Personality: Simon is shy and prefers to be on his own than round people. When around strangers, he acts nervous and doesn't really have much to say for himself. But once a person gets to know him, he comes out of his shell and is actually quite talkative. He loves to debate with people and is quite receptive to other peoples ideas. At times he can quite clumsy and his intelligence can cause him embarrassment as he hates to think he might be viewed as big headed or arrogant. History: Growing up, Simon always had the support and love he needed off his parents to thrive. They lived on the suburbs of Baton Rouge where Simon went to the local school and excelled. His parents were already aware of their son's intelligence but were still surprised when he passed every test going with flying colours and the teachers never had a bad word to say about him. It was their modesty and downplaying of their own achievements (both his father and mother went to Harvard, his mother is a world class chess player and his father has recently joined MENSA) which led to this amazement and also to Simon's own modesty and quiet personality. Simon's love of computers emerged at a very early age. Instead of taking up an instrument or chess like the rest of the family, Simon spent hours messing about on the old computer in the study, soon learning how to program as well as building and maintaining computers. This led to him taking on a part time IT technician job whilst at high school which he later took on full time after college. His parents were slightly disappointed at his decision but were happy to accept that their son didn’t want to take that route and wanted to work. They were happier though when he told them it was still in his long term plans to go, he just wanted to get some funds first. As well as being an IT technician, Simon also strayed into the field of hacking after one night his computer was hacked. He managed to trace the culprit and reported them, whilst doing some damage to their machine at the same time and this led to him becoming Cypher, a ‘good’ hacker who worked as a tracer for people who had been hacked by malicious hackers and paying them back for their crimes. Although his actions were and still are as illegal as the other hackers, Cypher has yet avoided detection and has only been hacked himself once since taking hacking up, and that was his website rather than his computer. At eighteen, he got his own apartment in the centre of Baton Rouge, a few streets away from where he worked. It was on a night out at a local bar where he met new dancer QuickSilver and the pair struck up a friendship. Simon soon learnt that the young man more commonly went by the name of Sykes and had come to Baton Rouge from New Orleans. He had been travelling about and had decided to stay in Baton Rouge to fund his time there. After a couple of months and with Simon feeling comfortable in Sykes presence, he offered Sykes a room in his apartment and Sykes accepted. They lived at the apartment for a further three years until one night Sykes said he was thinking of going back to New Orleans. The contract on the apartment was about to run out and he felt it was time to go back to his friends and were family there. By then Simon had learnt much about lycanthropy and the culture, and wanting to see what life was like in New Orleans, Simon decided to join him. So the two men started their journey slowly back to New Orleans. Whilst on a night out in a town just outside of New Orleans, Simon and Sykes were ambushed by a group of youths, demanding their wallets and belongings from them. Slightly drunk, Sykes got quickly agitated and when they said an unsavoury comment about Simon, a fight broke out. Despite Sykes best efforts, Simon got involved though he had been trying to stay out of it and he was injured. When police sirens sounded in the distance, the group scampered, leaving Sykes to pull Simon into the shadows until the sirens had gone then get him back to the hotel. The next day, Simon's injuries had healed which made Sykes suspicious and when Sykes asked, Simon told him that the man who attacked him had had a strange looking hand but he thought it was just the drink. Alarmed, Sykes probed further and managed to get a bit of detail from him to narrow down the species. It was definitely feline and by the sounds of it, lion. His suspicions of Simon being infected were confirmed a few days later, Simon started to get a fever. Sykes then realised it was coming up to a full moon and quickly checked the pair out of the hotel. They are now on the way back to New Orleans, taking the back roads as Sykes is carrying Simon in his arms and going at his unusually fast pace. The pair are heading for the shifter clinic. Strengths: Simon knows computers inside out and his knowledge of security is vast. His sense of loyalty means he will stand by people until the death and his intelligence is quite a bit above average, allowing him to analyse and solve problems before most people. He already has a good knowledge of lycanthropes and lycanthrophy as learnt from Sykes and the various books he has purchased over the years. Weaknesses: Simon has yet to shift so has not been subjected to all the perils of being a lycanthrope. His shyness can be seen as rudeness to some people and he does find social situations involving a lot of people awkward. His nervousness can be at times so bad, it renders him useless Quirks: Simon is deadly allergic to nuts. He loves Tim Burton films and wears a pendant with the acronym CYCIIC etched onto the tag (it stands for can you crack it, I can) Other: He has his driver’s license but doesn’t own a car. He is also bisexual but not many people are aware of it. He plans on studying computers as a degree in the next couple of years. His first shift will be in game during the full moon period.
