Height: 5ft 8"
Weight: 132lbs
Tattoos/piercings: Ying has a simplistic but colorful line-art dragonfly tattooed on her right shoulder blade, and on the underside of her tongue is a single black line near the tip with five broken lines following it towards the base, so that it forms a sort of arch when she touches her tongue to the roof of her mouth to display it.

Appearance: Lithe and tall for a woman, Yin is a gracefully feminine figure whom tends to stand out in most places. An albino, her skin is naturally colorless, and unless she takes pains to wear makeup her veins and arteries tend to stand out in some relief against her pale skin - even more so than some vampires. Her irises are a dark pink color, and under the right lighting her pupils are only a much darker crimson rather than black. Her short hair is colorless as well but if she is required to be out in daytime for extended periods of time she will temporarily dye it black to help protect her scalp and face somewhat. Her work forces her to keep her nails short. She prefers dark clothing when dressing casually and will always wear something with wide sleeves and a very large cowl if she must leave her home during the day; on formal occasions she invariably wears Chinese outfits, though whether she assumes a more masculine or feminine look is dependent on the occasion.

Personality: Yin Po, Yin or Ying to her friends and business associates, is a solemn seeming young woman, very rarely making eye contact or speaking louder than absolutely necessary. Her general attitude is polite and aloof for the most part, which hides much of her actual personality. Frighteningly intelligent, Ying is quick to ascertain people’s motives and desires, and she is perfectly willing to take advantage of the foolish or the naive if the opportunity presents itself, thus living up to her title in the Nest. A healthy and warranted dose of paranoia makes her sometimes second guess peoples motives and suspect plots that may not exist.

Like the snake spirits of ancient China she is duplicitous and cunning, giving those who want things from her exactly what they desire in inappropriate or deceitful manners. She has little interest in men, except in a strictly clinical fashion, so those used to depending on their charm and looks to get places with women will find themselves at a loss to manipulate Yin Po; women can find her somewhat more tractable, but ANY rude behavior will quickly make her uncooperative and even threatening.

History: Yin Po was born into the Hei Bing Kun Mung (Black Ice Club), a group of weresnakes and mystically inclined humans who were for all practical purposes a Tong (a.k.a. Triad gang) based out of Hong Kong. Religion, politics, martial arts, and crime were not choices for those born under its aegis but facts of life. Like many such institutions their roots could be traced into the distant past, myth and legend blending with fact and tale telling, until what was historical and what was legendary were a mixture of truths and lies so convoluted only the most dedicated researcher could unearth the nature of the Hei Bing.

As a female weresnake born into the Hei Bing, Ying was trained as enforcer and diplomat, one of the many faces of the Hei Bing. She was encouraged to practice a variety of skills, and her native intelligence lent itself well to her studies. She quickly became enamored of the beautiful things shipped to and from the warehouses they possessed, not merely the ancient artifacts but jewels, artwork, and people. Her stint under the hands of the Mo She (the torturer and interrogator of the clan, the punisher) - a requirement for all young weresnakes so that they understood what torture and pain truly were - opened new vistas for her, and she quickly apprenticed herself to the old snake, becoming a torturer and trafficker in living jewels. Her appreciation for beauty combined with her new tasks until the tools and equipment were inadequate for what she desired to create.

She began to study jewelry and metalworking, crafting artistic and cruel devices of gold and silver with which to decorate and torment the slaves and enemies of the Hei Bing. It was not long before her reputation as an artisan garnered her a foothold in the (slightly) more legitimate aspects of society, allowing her to open up small shops for various purposes: jewelry shops, BDSM clubs, photography studios and the like.

The Hei Bing prospered, up until she was personally forced to go into hiding by the persistent efforts of Interpol and the Hong Kong government to break up a particularly lucrative trade in Crane Maidens, the Chinese equivalent of Europe's wereswans.

She traveled to various places, including Japan, Taiwan, and Jamaica, before settling in New Orleans for a long stint of anonymity. Her hedonistic - and illegal – exploits lie largely in her past, but with the money and tools and jewelry she has available to her she plans on opening a small jewelry store in a live-in office in the city.

Strengths: Ying is not terrifically fast or tremendously strong beyond normal shifter strength or speed for an alpha, but she does know a variety of martial arts techniques involving grappling and pressure point techniques (Châ’in-na). She is venomous, possessing a potent neurotoxin that can paralyze and kill even in small doses though it will not bother the undead or their three-times marked servants, and most shifters will purge the venom before it can be fatal. The toxin can be countered by standard cobra anti-venom; she cannot spit her venom. Like other shifters her senses are extremely acute, but her sense of taste is even more so than usual for lycanthropes; she can taste what a person has eaten recently in their sweat. She is by and large independently wealthy, but her wealth belongs to the Hei Bing Kun Mung; through them she has extensive underworld contacts and ties to illegal activities. Unlike many lycanthropes she is not particularly concerned about being outed, as China is more tolerant of their supernatural brethren than most other countries.

Weaknesses: Being an albino - in all her forms - Yin is exceedingly sensitive to sunlight and while she heals rapidly a sunburn still hurts a great deal. Likewise she is sensitive to bright lights and is easily distracted and blinded by flashbulbs, reflections off of windows or cars, and even an exceedingly bright LED light shining in her eyes will cause her to recoil. As a member of a Triad or Tong she qualifies as a threat to national security and thus is at constant risk from legal trouble; being wanted by Interpol makes her very cautious about her legal standing and a touch paranoid about threats by preternaturals. Unfortunately as Mo She of her Tong her superiors are allowed to call upon her for favors, money, and duties at any time and she cannot refuse them (such as for the use of her business as a money laundering setup and outlet for stolen jewelry and illegal gemstone smuggling). As with any lycanthrope silver is deadly and painful. Finally, Ying's fangs, while retractable, are present in all of her forms, although it would require a close examination of her mouth to reveal them as they fold into the roof of her mouth from just to the side and behind of each of he upper canines.

Quirks: Ying is very into BD/SM culture, and she has an elaborate torture chamber and playroom set up in the back of her home. She is fascinated by wereswans and has a hard time not making advances towards them.

Other: Currently Yin Po She is employed at Inked as a piercer, and doesell some jelery items out of the tattoo parlor. She is trying to open a middle-sized jewelry store, and has a large amount of jewelry of many sorts (heavily insured), and silver melee weaponry of varied sorts, much of which is in various safes in her rented home. She still needs a business license, though she does have an importers permit. She also own a large number of torture and bondage devices, some of which are silver, and all of which she is intimately familiar with using - on both sides of the locks. As a jeweler she has access to lots of silver, and can quickly discover who has been buying the stuff and through gossip and contacts is able to find out about any recent requests for the make and purchase of silver bullets. She herself can make the bullet itself or make silver shot, but she cannot put them in the shells.

Yin will require I.D. and signatures for anyone purchasing the materials specifically to make silver bullets or weapons with or who request or purchase anything more dangerous than a knife from her.
