Appearance: If his eyes had been blue and his hair a bit lighter, Skov would have been the archetypal Swede; tall and fit, he spent a good deal of time outside when he could. There are smile-lines about his mouth, despite the scarcity of his smiles (he doesn't want to flash any fang), and he still has the tanned skin of a living man. His clothes, though clean enough, are somewhat rumpled.

Personality: An easygoing, liberal sort until his change, Skov hasn't yet adjusted to his new condition and all that it implies, and it shows in his more serious attitude and in the undercurrent of tension in his words. Quite nervous and unsure of his legal status, both as a vampire and a foreigner, he's jumpy and desperate to regain some stability in his life.

History: Skov lived an average Swedish life - graduated from school, took a further education (in animation - not the raising the dead kind), and went about freelancing his work wherever he could find a job. Hearing of a job opening in Florida, he thought he'd hit the jackpot - but before his job interview he had time to kill, so he spent a few nights partying with a fun bunch he met. Time passed in a blur; the next time he woke, it was at the morgue.

Waking from death is never much fun. The job evaporated due to 'scheduling conflicts', but Skov was leery of returning to Europe. He didn't know much about vampires, but he seemed to recall something about the European sort controlling their 'offspring' much more than in America. Of course, there was also the matter of his parents learning of his new condition...

Bewildered and frightened, Skov decided to remain in the States. Surely American vampires were protected by the Constitution? He traveled until his money ran out, spending his days under the bed in cheap motels, feeding sporadically at seamy dives, and hoping to elude whoever might come after him once his green card expired. It brought him to New Orleans, where he found that if he wanted to stay out of the sun any longer, he needed a job... a discreet one.

Strengths: Apart from speaking English, Swedish and German, being able to code HTML and having a good dose of artistic ability, Skov has a weak ability to shield his mind, though he's unaware of it. He has the usual vampire powers.

Weaknesses: Skov is totally unaware of his non-physical preternatural abilities, and shares the usual vampire weaknesses - sunlight, crosses and silver. In addition, he has yet to become accustomed to his new strength and speed, making him unwilling to exercise them much.

Quirks: Skov is fond of animated, comedy, fantasy and sci-fi movies. He misses food terribly (along with sunlight), and sometimes catches himself staring at people eating in restaurant windows. He often catches himself mid-motion in trying to do something he did as a human. He's always considered himself an animal-lover, and their reaction to his undead state frustrates and saddens him. He's rarely without a sketchbook and pen/pencil somewhere on his person – usually in hand, busily scribbling away.
