Eyes: Hazel Blue/Green
Personality: Happy. That’s the only way you can describe Chastity, she was always brought up around family and knowing that if you are loved, and have love in your heart, you can achieve anything you reach to get. Her mother always taught her to never be rude or curt and to never judge a book by its cover, if you get to know people they can sometimes surprise you. That’s always stuck with Chastity and although sometimes she does make false accusations, she tries her best to look at the inside and not the out. Chastity is very soft spoken and shy around large groups of people, she was never really exposed to the ‘real’ world and doesn’t know how to take life as seriously as she should. History: Even though Chastity was brought up with a very privileged upbringing, she never had it as easy during her early years of childhood. Chastity was always somewhat of a loner, never seeming to click with people, it was as if she just didn’t feel like she belonged. When she was four her parents divorced and Chastity was sent to live with her father is California, as her father’s career seemed to plummet, so did his grip on reality. He would lock Chastity up in cupboards for long periods of time, sometimes forgetting she was even in there. There was no running water and her father would bar up the doors. Finally child welfare stepped in and got her out, sending her to live with her mother. Chastity’s mother had gotten on her feet and married a very wealthy man in Australia, where she later moved to raise Chastity. Chastity grew up in Sydney, Australia, and had little to nothing to say about her father to the councilor her mother had hired. She was daddy’s little girl and that’s how it would stay. When she was seven, Chastity’s mother thought it was time for a new look to fit her new life, so she gave Chastity a hair cut, cutting her hair so that it was above her ears. She was heartbroken, she loved her hair but deep down she knew her mother was right; she was always right. Chastity was home schooled for a long time, up until eleventh grade, but found it hard to cope with other students. She just couldn’t talk to people; she couldn’t even keep direct eye contact. Whenever she would talk to someone she would stop during mid sentence and feel all different types of emotions, sometimes happy, sometimes sad and even angry. Chastity had never been angry, which councilors found to be distressing, it was like she just shut down whenever she was the slightest bit annoyed. Chastity’s mother could never really understand why her daughter was never angry with her father, even after what he had done. Chastity could never figure it out herself, she just felt as if her father had no idea what he was even doing, as if he just wasn’t there anymore. When Chastity was seventeen, her father committed suicide and somehow, Chastity felt as though he were finally at peace with himself, for the first time she could be sure that her father was truly alive again. It wasn’t a shock when Chastity found out she had the power of empathy. Controlling it was a difficult prospect; she couldn’t even be around people without feeling their emotions or seeing images of their thoughts. Chastity told her mother, it was hard to believe at first but her mother finally understood why her daughter was such a closed in person. Chastity’s aunt – who also has similar powers – lives in New Orleans and offered Chastity a home to stay in while she learns how to control her own emotions. Chastity couldn’t say no and was on the next plane back to America, she couldn’t go on living like an anti-social hermit all her life. Strengths: Chastity can tap into peoples emotions and use it against them, although she hasn’t been able to accomplish – or try – that yet, its still a good back up plan for when’s really in trouble. Weaknesses: Chastity is a pretty weak girl physically. She also cant talk directly to someone and when being verbally attacked, she cant really defend herself, she’s had no experience with fighting or people in general, basically she’s very fragile and cant really defend herself besides tapping into people emotions and past experiences and hoping she hits a soft spot. Quirks: Chastity will laugh at anything, she loves to have fun and be with her family. Even though she’s not the easiest person to get along with sometimes she is pretty funny and can be sarcastic. She loves the beach and will do anything to get a good surf in. Other: Chastity can identify peoples emotions, past experiences (by catching images and feelings from the person). Her name means one of the seven virtues and she has no idea what her mother was thinking when she came up with the name Chastity-Skye.
