Eyes: Blue
Personality: She
can be random--read: downright goofy--when the time is right, but when it is
time to be serious, she is the Queen of Serious. She doesn't trust most
people, even Pack (though she trusts Pack more so than Mundane humans) but
once she has come to trust a person, she trusts them until they show her they
cannot be trusted, and it takes something big for her to stop trusting
someone she has been trusting. She doesn't anger easily, though once she is,
it's hard to settle her. If you mess with her family, the few friends she
has, or her Pack, she will not rest until you are either dead or wishing you
were. Loyal doesn't even begin to cover this one, hence a lot of the tattoos.
She doesn't really care if people know she is a Lycanthrope, but she doesn't
openly advertise that she isin case she needs to be inconspicuous, she can be
without a hitch. She is very quiet most of the time. She does ask questions
of the Ulfric, though she would never question him as Ulfric. She does not
care to kill someone, though she does mourn the loss of life. She is very
intelligent, and has gone to college with a double-major in English and Art.
She enjoys learning things, mostly to gain the knowledge so she will know
later. She also loves animals, and loves food though her figure doesn't show
it at all, which she has been grateful for. History:
She'd been going to her Dojo since she was 8, working in Kung Fu, working on
the Animal fighting stances and katas, as well as staffwork and a little
swordwork. She still tries to practice, using the knowledge for self-defense
and peace of mind, but mostly for peace of mind nowadays. Rarely does anyone
bother her enough to make her feel threatened. The trips to the dojo were
called after she graduated from college, on account of becoming furry once a
month. She was infected during the last semester of college, having
been working on a Bachelor's degree at Nottingham University, working on a
double major of English and Art. She had just gotten her degree, having
worked on getting it for six whole years, and had decided she deserved to go
to the graduation party and get plastered. She had always been so careful to
not get too drunk. A drunken party-crasher had turned out to be a Werewolf,
shifting when he tried to make a pass at her and she turned him down, though,
he had, admittedly, been very cute. He got angry and went to smack her. He
ended up taking off several layers of skin on her upper arm, Miranda having
ducked back to miss the shot to her face, thanking her Martial Arts training
every single day since then, as the scars had still been a little visible,
her dragon tattoo managed to cover up the stubborn claw marks, though. Her
parents don't know about her being a Lycanthrope just yet, but she wouldn't
mind them finding out. She's just not up for telling them right now. Originally from Grimsby, England, Miranda Kingston is on the
run from her last Pack, the Baum Kknochhen Clan; in English, the "Bones
of the Tree" Clan. A gang made up mostly of childish men and careless
killers, it's amazing that she decided to join at all, but her loft mate had
suggested the Pack to hersince she was a member as it was, and she needed the
company on the Full moons. The men in the group thought she would submit to them
easily without a fight, but she decided otherwise, as they used her loyalty
to grind her down to nothing but a dog that listened and obeyed. She left
because they had wanted her to kill a cop that had been trying to do
investigation work on the Pack, they pretty much asked for her to assassinate
the honest cop. When she didn't, they tried to punish her, and that had been
the last straw. She formally renounced the Pack, and then left the Lupanar
with her Ulfric screaming at her in anger. Then again, what she called "formally renouncing her
Pack" was her slapping the Ulfric across the face and screaming in his
face, "You stupid pup! Do you really think that killing a cop would stop
the local police from finding the Pack and arresting every single one of us?!
Or simply put a bounty on our heads for the local Bounty Hunters to snatch
up?!! I'm leaving the Pack, Henri. I'm tired of all this bullshit. Don't come
looking for me. I renounce my ties to the Baum Kknochhen Clan. I am no longer
Pack. Goodbye." And she turned abruptly and walked away. As she calmly
walked out of the Lupanar that night, she didn't even look back. Henri McKay,
the Ulfric, promised that they would track her down, but she only waved it
off. She figured they would get over it, or at least learn to. She had only
been in the pack a half a year or so, and she didn't think that not having
Miranda Kingston in their Pack would be as detrimental as what Henri probably
thought. Henri had always been a childish, insolent cub. He was the
Ulfric only because he had founded the pack, and his friends were too scared
of him to fight him. The entire pack barely knew how true Lukoi society
worked. His Skoll and Hati, the Ulfric's best friends, had started their
Lukoi lives as Bolverk in the pack at one time or another. They weren't very
impressed with their Ulfric, though they didn't say as much, not wanting to
hurt their friend's feelings. Apparently they were best friends enough to
back him, but not best friends enough to point out their Ulfric's flaws. Like the fact that Henri McKay is arrogant, cocky, lacking
common sense, lacking the inner strength and iron will to truly lead, as well
as the maturity to realize that he holds sway over an entire group of people.
He had, in fact, tried to change Miranda's title from Bolverk to Lupa, after
realizing he had urges that all little boys begin to have at a certain age.
To his chagrin, she had turned the title down flat, staying as Bolverk by
pure choice until she left the Pack. That had angered him, but she had paid
him no mind. There had been two wolves that she didn't outright detest,
though. One of them had been her loft mate, Bryce Clearwater, a lady she had
never minded hanging out with because she had showed intelligence when she
and her had spoken. In fact, Bryce had been the one to instruct her on what
it was to be a lycanthrope. The other had been Charlie Young, who had been an okay guy. He
was the Skoll who had taught her the general idea of what it was to be
Bolverk, along with a few pointers. She didn't like Georgi Herald, the Hati,
much because. Most of her Bolverk training was from the Skoll and Hati, who
both had been the Bolverk preceding her and had decided they were more suited
to bodyguard positions than Bolverk. It was simply their choice. Bryce had
been a good friend, and Charlie hadn't been a bad guy, just under the wrong
leader. She would have tried for Ulfric, but she had known she wasn't
leader material. She had never spoken of any of her dissenting thoughts to
either of her two friends, though both of them had seen that Miranda greatly
disliked Henri. But now that she wasn't apart of the Pack anymore, she
breathed a soft sigh of relief, glad to be out of that mess they called a
Pack. She's been in the United States long enough to make herself a
citizen, but under false credentials (she is now known as Miranda Louis),
which she got from a person in Nottingham who is a forger. She doesn't know
if her old pack is following her or not, though she suspects as much. She's
steeling herself for the day that she has to put the entire pack down--they
aren't very large, only 10 members large, including the Ulfric. The Pack is a
dangerous, cruel nuisance, one which she is willing to rid the world of
entirely. Except for Bryce; Miranda hopes her friend had managed to get out
after she had left. She's coming to New Orleans mostly because of the charm of the
location, though the bayou is very handy in case any of her old Pack does
show up. She was Bolverk to her Ulfric, Henri McKay. She has cut her ties to
the Werewolf pack, but her Ulfric did not want to let her go, and she knows
how to make certain a body isn't found... Strengths: She
can shift intricate parts of her body, shift to and from her three forms and
become fatigued but not pass out, and she has a well-defined Wolfman form and
a Wolf form. She's fairly good with knives, and owns a pair that she keeps on
her wrists. She knows how to use a sword with some skill from Martial Arts
training, but is most proficient in Staff. She knows Kung Fu, including the
Animal forms and Katas. She isn't skittish around guns, though she has no
training in using one. She has graduated college with a Bachelor's Degree,
Double-majoring in English and Art. She isn't very skittish around vampires,
though the older ones do unnerve her at times. Weaknesses: She
doesn't trust many people, has the usual allergy to silver, and isn't
proficient with a gun (in fact, she's never held one before). She can be a
little impatient, as well. Her tattoos might tip people off to what she is.
She doesn't want to let too many Mundanes know that she is a Lycanthrope, so
she hasn't told any humans what she is. She hasn't told her parents about
being a Lycanthrope yet, but she wouldn't mind to tell them. She has a soft
spot for children and animals, so if she were to see either hurt, she would
feel the urge to stop and help them. She isn't truly a US Citizen, as her
documentation is forged, and can be deported if she is found out. Other: Her
fears concerning her old Pack are well-placed, as her old Ulfric and his
Skoll are tracking her, hoping to find her and make her come back to England
with them. Oh, and cheese. Quirks: She
loves animals, hates most insects that have stingers, and loves to read,
write and create art. All food is a delicacy to her, and she loves tasting
new foods, savoring everything she eats or drinks. She adores coffee and tea,
as well as cheese. Grumpy in the morning until she's had her shower and a cup
of coffee. Tea, coffee and cappuccino are her favorite beverages, and her
favorite style of food is Italian, though running a close second is Chinese
(Szechwan cooking being her favorite). She is absolutely aching to try out
New Orleans' "Cajun" cooking. |
