Eyes: Blue
Personality:
Raefer believes in many values, honesty, trust and honour. Through what he
has learnt, he regards honour as being very important and will uphold his own
at all times. He is quite patient, not quick to anger and is willing to help
anyone, especially the vulnerable and those who are not as strong as himself.
His sense of humour is occasionally dry and can be sarcastic. Cannot stand
rude or arrogant people. History: He
was born and grew up in New York, the son of two cops who made sure their son
got a good education, which he did. But throughout all this, he never really
knew what to do with himself, only that he didn’t want to do what his parents
did. At thirteen his mother died, leaving his father to continue to
raise him. When he left school, he still didn’t have any idea on what to do
with him. He went from job to job, still drifting and this led to frequent
arguments with his father. When he was twenty, his father was shot on duty while trying
to restrain a lycanthrope who was out of control; when the lycanthrope tried
to attack his father, the other officer took a shot at it but unfortunately
hit the cop. He died at the scene. Scared of the very idea of lycanthrophy, Raefer went to the
local hospital for the inoculation but was caught by a bad batch and was
turned into the very thing he feared. However after a few years for getting his head around it, he
was able to accept who he had become and even got himself a mate, a female
from the local NY pack who he then joined. After running with them for a
while Raefer took the decision to move on Nothing had happened to make him
leave, he just wanted to see the world. He decided to go to Japan, the land of the rising sun, to
become trained in martial arts as he had always liked the idea and thought he
would be able to make something of himself if he had some skill. He joined a pack there and was trained by them, not only in
martial arts but in the art of sword fighting too. When the time came that
the pack felt he was skilled enough to move on, he left Japan and travelled
the world, helping fellow lycanthropes under the guise of a travelling
musician. He has spent the
last four years cementing his place as the pack's Freki, always being on hand
to help in any way he could. He has unquestionably supported his Ulfric.
Raefer is now a full time resident at the new Wolf residence. Izabella and
the others leaving hit Raefer a lot harder than he let on, but fortunately
pack duties have kept him occupied. Other than pack
activities, Raefer has been training hard to become an even better swordsman
and martial artist. He feels, whether justified or not, he could have done
more and maybe even saved a few lives if he had been better. He has also
entered a few martial arts tournaments (and actually has several Winners
Trophies, though he doesn't boast) and played a few gigs to raise a little
extra cash. One thing still nags
Raefer. Part of him at least is starting to yearn for a little female
company..... Strengths: Can
partially shift and calm the beast of others. He can heal quicker than most
lycanthropes. Is highly proficient in the martial art of Kenjutsu (fighting
with Katanas and other bladed weapons such as Sai) and also well trained in
Taijutsu (Unarmed combat) Weaknesses: Has
a deep dislike of guns due to the fact his father was killed with one and
because he believes their use to be dishonourable. Will frequently leap to the
defence of others with little regard for his own safety. Quirks: Has
a borderline obsession with cleaning his weapons, sharpening and polishing
them whenever he gets the chance. Is highly opinionated on the subject of
music, likes rock music but hates genres such as dance. Is very possessive
over his guitar and doesn’t like people touching it. Likes to drink malt
whisky but only the high quality brands and is completely anti smoking. Other: his
wolf is like a husky, black and white with dark grey on the top of its head.
He drives an Aston Martin DB9 V12, a rather extravagant recent purchase when
he took a fancy to it at a motor show. |
