The Regional HAV Headquarters is the fourth biggest HAV facility in the United
States. It boasts a training center for HAV employees as well as several office
buildings. The Regional district consists of Arkansas, Louisiana, and
Mississippi.
HAV Headquarters are located on an abandoned and remodeled
military facility on the outskirts of New Orleans. The base has been made more
aesthetically pleasing with the addition of a small forest and a lake, along
with landscaping. However, there is still evidence that facility was once a
military base. The design of the complex is more modern in nature.
To enter the gated facility one must present a HAV
employee/member badge or be scheduled in for a meeting or other engagement at
the facility. To enter the heavy security area you must have special clearance.
While the headquarters consists of a mansion to one side and a
small office park to the other, the main compound located behind the office is
closed to the public. HAV conferences and daily business take place from the
offices located on the facility. The mansion is the home of the current
Regional President.
The main compound is still quite military in nature. There is a
shooting range, a field training course, several classrooms, and a small dormitory
for the compound’s live-in workers. All of the main compound is under
surveillance, as well as guarded by armed soldiers. The true reason for the
guards is the labs under the main compound. The labs consist of several
experiment rooms and holding cells of an undisclosed purpose. It is an urban
legend that lycanthropes and vampires have been captured and held in these labs
for experimental purposes, but no one can prove whether this is true or just
myth. This part of the base is secret, and the public does not know about it.
Only higher up individuals within HAV have clearance, and regular members of
HAV do not even know these facilities exist. There is an entrance to the labs
from the mansion.
