The Morgue and the Coroner/Medical Examiner's office is a completely seperate facility from the police station. It is several blocks away from both the station and the hospital. The main entrance is used by everyone except for "pick ups" and "deliveries." There is a desk where people check in just inside the front doors. In the "back" is the large autopsy room with six sutopsy tables/stations. The "cold storage" room has a wall of drawers to hold the deceased and space for overflow gurneys. There are private offices and storage and file areas off the main entrance hallway. There is also a desk in the autopsy room with file cabinets and other office equipment, including a copier. The "back door", a large overhead service door is there for the delivery of bodies and pick up of same by funeral homes.
