enter the station by the front doors. There is a tall counter topped by
bullet-proof glass and little windows to talk through. There are clerks and a
uniformed officer (all NPCs) there to handle questions, reports, requests to
speak to an officer, etc.
Cops use the back entrance off the private parking lot for cops only. The
double doors open to a long hallway with offices and conference rooms on both
sides. Near the door, is a glassed-in room where the "desk sergeant"
(NPC) sits. Here characters check in/out with him for keys, evidence,
prisoners, etc. Next to this window is a counter and mail slots for each
officer or employee. This is where memos, paychecks, etc. are picked up.
Down that wide hallway is a cluster of offices and a reception area. Captain
Jeremy Cage (NPC or Council played), his secretary, Louise (NPC) and other NPC
ranking officers hang out here. There is an intersecting hallway that leads
into the depths of the station. At the end of that hallway and around a corner
is the RPIT Squad room.
RPIT is a big room with desks scattered around the middle of it. Regular
uniform cops use these desks. Around the outside walls, desks are divided by
cubicle walls. This is where the detectives sit. The cubicles are completely
open to the center of the room.
There are conference rooms, offices, cells, secured evidence room, records
room, etc. scattered around the labyrinth. The Crime Lab is also
"hidden" away in there but it has it's own outside entrance, though a
hallway connects it to the other offices.
