Leopards, like all lycanthropes, can be created several ways. One way is by a person being attacked by a leopard in it's animal form, and then contracting lycanthropy. This is by far the most common way to become a leopard. Another way is through medical error- a bad batch of lycanthropy vaccine, or a bad batch of blood (when getting a transfusion). Both of these ways should occur very rarely, as most vaccines and blood batches are tested within an inch of their life. Another, /extremely/ rare way to become a leopard is to be born one. The reason this is so rare is because most lycanthrope females miscarry within their first or second trimester. Very few women carry to full term, and most lycanthropes consider it a waste of time to even try (see Narcissus in Chains about this, if curious).
