rules of the pride

1. Obey any direct orders given to you by the Rex/Regina or any member higher than you in pride structure. (If you feel that by obeying an order you would be breaking another pride rule go to the Rex/Regina for help.) Structure of the werelion hierarchy:
Rex/Regina
Amicus
Cultor
Custos
Patronus

2. There are several ways to get higher up in the pride structure. First is to fight your way up. All dominance battles are non fatal until the fight to be Rex/Regina; that is always to the death. The second way is to challenge someone higher than you and have him/her back down without a fight. (This cannot happen in fights to become Rex/Regina). Or thirdly if no one is in the position then you can claim it with non-violent means.

3. Never, tell pride secrets to an outsider.

4. Do not deliberately hurt a pride member, or do something that leads to the death of another pride member. (Barring of course when in fights for positions or the execution of pride members.)

5. If the Rex/Regina is not present when decisions are to be made his or her mate (Regina or Rex) will act in his/her stead. If there is no mate then the Amicus will take the leader's place until the Rex/Regina has returned, etc.

6. New pride members must have a sponsors to help them through the first few months until the new member gets the hang of things

7. In all of these cases the Rex/Regina is the final word in all decisions and punishments.
