The terms for a lion pride are derived from latin. In the Middle Ages, lions were common in imagery, seen as noble and powerful creatures.

 
General Terms
Rex - King
Regina - Queen
Amicus - 2nd in command
Cultor - 3rd in command
Custos/Patronus - enforcers and bodyguards
Inimicus - Challenger to the Rex

Other Terms
Incommendatus - Rogues (non-pride lions)
Pride - Public name for the lions' goup
Hostis - Enemies of the pride
Socius - Friends of the pride
Terra Sanctus - Religous ground where the pride meets
