Weretigers can be created one of three ways. The most common is to be attacked, bitten or scratched by a weretiger in tiger form. This is how almost all weretigers are created. The second way is to receive a bad batch of the lycanthropy vaccine or a contaminated blood transfusion. However, be warned that neither is very common, because both vaccines and blood are thoroughly checked for the lycanthropy virus, much like HIV. The rarest way to become a weretiger is to be born one. This is extremely rare. Most pregnant lycanthropes miscarry during their first change after conception. Very few women carry to full term and often miscarry within the first trimester. (Laurell K. Hamilton even addressed this fact. So please be wary about creating a character who was born as a weretiger.)
