Werewolf lycanthropy is the most contagious (and so most common) type next to rat. You can get turned by barely a bite or scratch. This is the most common way of infection. You can become a werewolf because of a bad batch of lycanthropy serum or through tainted blood in a transfusion (these are more rare). The most rare way is to be born a lycanthrope. This almost never happens except in cases of Snake or Swan lycanthropy, which is hereditary. Most other lycanthropes miscarry during pregnancy.
